Springtime is finally upon us. The wonderful wildlife of Hilton Head Island is now soaring and swimming under the bright blue sky. The flowers are in bloom, and it feels like everything is coming alive – even the pollen!

Spring weather comes with many different opportunities to nurture your health. Fresh ingredients are more plentiful this time of year, and we have an abundance of colorful fruits, and vegetables. Our Lowcountry farmers and suppliers offer delicious and nutritious options for our locals and visitors coming out of their deep Winter hibernation.

Balancing Comfort Food and Healthy Food

Spring breaks, end of semester trips, and family vacations are just beginning on our small, yet active island. Whether it be for a quick beach getaway, or weekly vacation in the summer, right now is the perfect time to strive for that beach body (or at least a healthier body). We know the importance of eating right, and how eating healthy will cleanse the body, but who wants to give up those flavorful brunches, and yummy lunches?

Balancing comfort food, and healthy foods is our speciality. Our menu focuses on freshness and quality—featuring organic produce, locally sourced ingredients, GMO-free meats, and delicious homemade baked goods that can keep you in shape while you soak under the sun.

Feel Better when you eat better

Lunchtime at Watusi Café looks like it’s own sea of fish (people) munching on colorful plates of delicious, fresh meals served with a smile as radiant as the flowers growing outside. Try our collection of homemade soups and fresh salads, like the Spicy Kale and Quinoa Salad, the Grilled Local Shrimp Salad, and the Tuna Sashimi Salad —all dressed with house-made wasabi lemongrass vinaigrette are just a few of the customers’ favorites. These meals will get you feeling better while you’re traveling and looking better when you get home.

Breakfast begins at 7am and is served all day, while lunch starts at 10:30am. Both last until closing time, which is 3pm Monday through Sunday. Watusi is eco-conscious and neighborhood-friendly, while offering organic meals that you and your family can chatter about through every season.
